and

Garden Tour, Winston-Salem, NC, Saturday, April 30, 2022

We are excited to offer you an opportunity to support The Garden Club Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County by choosing to be a Corporate Sponsor of our inaugural Celebration Luncheon and our popular biennial Garden Tour. Six Select Sponsorships offer varying ticket levels to two separate events and access to our social and print media schedule.

To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.” – Audrey Hepburn.

As the largest fundraiser for the Council, the proceeds from the Celebration Luncheon and Garden Tour benefit the beautification projects of The Garden Club Council (GCC) of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. Established in 1932, the GCC is a multi-generational organization that helps local schools and organizations cultivate healthy gardens and environments in their communities through educational service projects. Today we are over 750 active members strong with 20 garden clubs in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area, one of the last and largest active councils in the Southeast. See below for more information about the reach of the GCC.

Presenting, Platinum and Gold Sponsorships include the Celebration Luncheon on Friday, April 1, 2022, featuring Ms. Margot Shaw, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Flower Magazine. We are excited that Ms. Shaw will be signing books of her recently published coffee table book: Living Floral: Entertaining and Decorating with Flowers.

All sponsorship levels include tickets to our garden tour on Saturday, April 30, 2022; a rare opportunity to explore the secret gardens hiding within the city limits of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This year's “Uncovering Beauty – A Tour of Secret Gardens” provides a variety of ten gardens each with its own personality and design aesthetic. As a Corporate Sponsor, you will have access to a bonus garden and a delicious boxed lunch. The tour is enjoyed at your own pace from 10 am to 4 pm.

Please note there are only 300 tickets available for the luncheon, and it will sell out!

There are a limited number of corporate sponsorship packages available.

About the Garden Club Council

The Garden Club Council was founded in 1932 to help “protect, preserve and beautify our environment.” Today we are over 750 active members strong with 20 garden clubs in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County area, one of the last and largest active councils in the Southeast. The Council helps to promote local gardening, beautification, conservation, and education. As a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization, the Council has over ten active grants. Some of this year’s grants include a $10,000 grant to the Piedmont Land Conservancy Peace of Land Campaign as part of our commitment to local land conservation. We have also continued our support of the educational Flower Show at the Carolina Classic Fair, funded annual flower beds and judging in partnership with Keep Winston Salem Beautiful, support Reynolda Gardens, and provided over 500 Kousa Dogwoods to area school children for planting and education on Arbor Day. The efforts of the Council are visible throughout the entire county – where all donations directly benefit our residents and are visible every day at local schools, churches, neighborhoods, and historical landmarks. In 20 years, over $270,000 has been awarded in grant initiatives!
